BARCA purchased farm 50-A in 2004 as part of its expansion into the Osa Peninsula in order to establish teak plantations for European investors. The farm originally measured 61.3 hectares, however, the company decided to segregate a section of pasture with a cottage and secondary forest, thus creating the farm known internally as Seg.50-A. BARCA dedicated itself to taking care of the forest and maintaining the trails that cross it, and grazing cattle in the 8 hectares of pasture. There is a lot of flora and fauna that inhabits the natural forest, creating an environment of peace with nature that is found in very few places. Although the cottage that was on the farm no longer exists, the farm has the right to drinking water from the ASADA of La Palma de Puerto Jiménez, advancing the steps to build the home of your dreams.

By combining the segregated farm with the flat hectares that had been planted with teak in 2004, a very attractive set is formed for a family or business group that wants to carry out an agricultural or forestry project but also seeks to have a place to live or walk in this beautiful corner of Costa Rica. Known as Cerritos, these farms are close to the town of La Palma de Puerto Jiménez, with schools and colleges, businesses, supermarkets, gas station and other basic services, but always maintaining their privacy and tranquility. It borders the Rincon River to the west and has views of the Golfo Dulce. Its location on the Osa Peninsula, with the current growth of tourist development in the area thanks to the beautiful beaches of the South South and the Corcovado National Park, makes it very attractive for an ecotourism or agrotourism project, ideal for a yoga retreat, as it is a very quiet area a few kilometers from La Palma de Puerto Jiménez. The Playa Blanca of La Palma de Puerto Jiménez, famous for its calm sea and an incredible number of scarlet macaws, is less than 5 kilometers from the estate.
