Here are some of the common questions about our properties and the buying process

Where are the properties located?

Parrita, Palmar Sur, Sierpe, Salamá, the Osa Peninsula and Conte. Most properties are 10 to 200 meters above sea level.

How difficult is it to buy land?

Once the client has chosen the ideal property for their project, the buyer and seller sign a Property Title of Sale which usually takes from a few days to two weeks to be inscribed in the National Registry.  

¿How long does it take for a teak plantation to mature??  

Due to the ideal climatic conditions in the central Pacific and southern lowlands of Costa Rica, the best teak will be ready for harvest between 15 and 20 years depending on market objectives, with valuable wood products coming from periodic commercial thinnings.

What other crops can be planted in this area?

Depending on the needs and objectives of the investor, establishment and management of forest plantations may include fast-growing woods (balsa, melina, etc.) as well as fine medium- and slower-growing timber (teak, cristóbal, zapatero, amarillón, cocobolo- rosewood, etc.). Cocoa (chocolate), rice, African palm, banana, natural rubber, papaya and other superfoods are also grown in this region, as well as cattle and goat grazing.

Are they ideal for tourism?
